At 16 years old Thom began to see sideshow acts and started to perform in a circus. He learned a variety of skills and performed about 12 times a day, 7 days a week. For him it was a wonderful and exhausting practice.
In his early 20s, he decided to continue my education. He went to college and earned an Applied Sciences degree. This training is nothing special, but it feeds his love of science and makes me ask the question, "how does that work?"
The acts he have chosen for you in Freakshow & Tell are the creme de la creme, the very best and most interesting experiments he had the pleasure of learning and performing.
One of the world's most unique fire eaters. Thom Britton blends stand-up comedy, storytelling and danger into an act that is 10,000 years old and brand new - at the same time.
But, the show isn't just fire eating!

Every Saturday we present our Sideshow Extravaganza! Featuring some of the best National and Local sideshow performers, jugglers, and magicians as well as performances by our SCOOPERS presenting their new acts and honing their performance skills in our mentorship program .
Each show features traditional sideshow feats and stunts. The show is appropriate for the entire family but there may be performances that are not suitable for the OVERLY squeamish or sensitive. Please inquire before purchasing tickets.
Why the donation?
Though we are a "For Profit" business, we are, basically, an ice cream shop. Our mission is to continue the sideshow and circus arts in our culture by featuring professional and some well known acts on our stage. The proceeds from this donation goes to pay our talent.
All remaining revenue goes directly to our mentorship program. Our Scoopers are all up and coming performers who, under the guidance of our shop mentor, Professor Pinkerton, learn new skills, hone their act and get new materials and props that they can then leave the shop with to continue their performing careers. We are the only all ages venue in Chicago that trains future performers through our Sideshow Acts. See why Penn Jillette backed our little shop!
